While everybody is different, and weight loss results can vary, on average, customers lose 7-10lbs during their first week on plan. Normally about 5lbs of this is glycogen / body water. If you follow the plan strictly, you can expect to lose 3-5lbs weekly*.
If you are under 17 stone, choose any combination of 4 meals daily, from our range of soups, shakes, bars and hot meals. If you are over 17 stone, increase this to 5 meals per day. We recommend limiting our bars to 1 per day. We also recommend upping your water intake to 2-4 litres daily. Other than this there are no rules. If you prefer a liquid only diet of soups and shakes, that’s no problem. Choose any 4 meals which suit your taste and lifestyle.
Yes. There are various UK and EU regulations which must be followed for the manufacture and sale of TFR/VLCD products. Some of these include:
Compliance with NICE clinical guidelines covering obesity and very low calorie diets
Compliance with EU Directive 2009/39/EC and of the Council of 6 May 2009 on foods intended for particular nutritional uses
Compliance with Commission Directive 96/8/EC of 26 February 1996 on foods intended for use in energy-restricted diets for weight reduction, as amended
Our products also adhere to Codex standards for formula foods for use in very low energy diets for weight reduction – CODEX STAN 203-1995
Snacks are completely optional. If you feel like you need a little extra, we recommend 2 of our snacks per week. However, if you want more than this, stick to our crisps. Our customers love our snacks range so much that many continue to use them when they reach their target weight.
For maximum results, we recommend sticking to the plan 100%. If for any reason you really would prefer to add in conventional foods, choose high protein, low fat options such as salads, vegetables, fish or chicken and include these alongside our meals.
The New You Plan strongly advises that you always seek and follow the advice of your doctor or health professional before starting a Very Low Calorie Diet.
BEFORE STARTING THE PLAN, PLEASE ENSURE YOU FOLLOW OUR PRE-START CHECKLIST.
It is important that you do not start a Total Food Replacement Plan/Very Low Calorie Diet if you have any health conditions that would prevent you from doing such a plan. The New You Plan strongly recommends that you do not put your health at risk and therefore follow our 5 step pre-start checklist:
