WINNER: Katie reveals how she lost 5st 10lbs & won £1000 cash!
Katie lost 5st 10lbs, overcame problems with alcohol and was named a winner in our Jan/Feb Transformation Challenge! Here, she have very bravely and openly shares her story in the hope of inspiring others! What an amazing lady.

New You: Why did you decide to join the challenge?
Katie: I decided to join the challenge as I was always watching other people claim prizes but I knew I had obstacles to overcome in my personal life before I could be true to The New You Plan and feel worthy of winning. I suffered from alcohol issues and I am now in recovery. Once I felt like I would be a worthy contender I decided to join as at last I felt I deserved it just as much as everyone else.
Getting started...
New You: WOW! You are incredible and so very honest. Opening up will definitely help others. Tell us, how did you find the plan?
Katie: I discovered The New You Plan because I had tried so many others that were just quick fixes with no support. I went online and looked for a “shake style” diet as I work well with a plan where I’m told exactly what to have. Then I found New You.
New You: How did you feel before you found New You?
Katie: Before starting the plan, I was totally miserable, my weight was at an all-time high of 18.5 stone, I felt like I was splitting out of my own skin. Due to my height (5ft 10lb) I felt like a massive, gigantic beast. I waddled when I walked and the only clothes that looked ok were baggy jumpers that covered everything and leggings that didn’t restrict my fat.
New You: What was your first week like?
Katie: My very first week…. omg I still remember it; people were turning into food in front of me (like in cartoons). For the first few days everything looked like food. But by day 4... BOOM - it was like a surge of energy lightening rocketed through me, I had so much energy, my stomach felt way less bloated and I wasn’t half as hungry. I was grateful for running to the toilet to dispel water every two minutes because I was telling myself “I’m peeing out fat”. By day 7 (if I remember right) I had lost 11lbs. That was it, I didn’t look back until the end of march 2021.
New You: Spill... Which meals & snacks can you not live without?
Katie: Hmmm... that’s tough, it depends what kind of day it is. But out of the categories I’m obsessed with the Caramel Fudge Bars, Rice Pudding, Chocolate Brownie, Mint Shake and Cafe Latte Shake ohh and Chocolate Muesli. I work night shifts so my days packs vary. If I’m working, I tend to have all my pack as one meal before work and then do my shift fasting with just water. When I’m on a normal day I’ll have a pack mid-morning (usually Muesli), then midday I’ll have something stodgy like a Pasta pack or Rice Pudding. Then for tea I’ll have a savoury pack like Burger Mix and a Bar for pudding. My favourite snacks have to be all of the Wafers in all flavours…omg absolutely divine. And the Cream Cheese and Onion Crisps.
Life changing results...
New You: What difference has the plan made to your life?
Katie: The plan has changed my life completely, like you wouldn’t believe. I never had confidence growing up because I was always big, I never got picked for anything and never had boyfriends in school etc…. this spilled into my adulthood and I found myself just being a shy and unconfident person due to just being fat. The plan has given me a new life, not just in terms of weight loss but it made me look at other areas of my life now that I was becoming a new person, which in turn drove me to join AA so I could sort that area out. I don’t think New You will ever understand just how much it has changed and saved my life. It’s not just a quick fix. This plan is part of my daily life now and always will be. Today I am a confident, outgoing and extremely proud person with the most positive mindset.
New You: This is absolutely amazing. You must have seen big changes to your health.
Katie: My health has vastly improved as my back and neck don’t ache half as much (barely at all) compared to before. I thought it was down to just getting older, but since losing the weight I hardly have any ailments. I can jog now! Never thought I’d hear myself say that, I could barely make it upstairs in the past. And overall, I just feel healthy inside and out, my body feels clean (if that makes sense).
New You: What is the nicest compliment you have received since losing weight?
Katie: The nicest compliment and one that sticks in my mind…. “Is that you Katie? Wow, where have you gone? You look incredible, you’re absolutely glowing”
New You: Finally, what advice would you give to someone thinking of starting the plan?
Katie: Anyone interested in joining the New You plan…. If just one percent of your being is intrigued in this plan, then absolutely go for it because trust me, 100% of your being will thank you so much for embarking on what will be your most life changing journey ever. Do it, even if you try for a week, you won’t look back.
